Following Jesus will cost you everything. You must leave your old life behind, deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow Him. Four men, fishermen in Galilee were called to follow Him and they "immediately" obeyed the call.
The Father allowed Jesus to be tempted by Satan not because He did not know the righteousness of His Son, but He did this to put Satan in his place and to provide us with confidence that we have a sinless Savior in Jesus Christ.
John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. Jesus had nothing to repent of but wanted "to fulfill all righteousness" in submitting Himself to baptism. He identifies Himself with us and provides an example for us through His baptism.
Joseph was a righteous Jewish man. His fiance tells him she is pregnant. A supernatural intervention through an angel appearing in a dream removes all troubling thoughts from Joseph's mind about divorcing her.
